CENTRAL BIRMINGHAM
This is a brand new venture for us. When we saw the venue we couldn't believe that this superb groundfloor ballroom has never been used for a Record & CD Fair. It is used extensively for Postcard, Stamp and Comic Fairs. It was the Postcard Fair organiser that gave us the info on this.
The venue is the Irish Club on Digbeth High Street Deritend. The venue is 200 yards from Birmingham Coach Station, 5 minutes from Moor Street Railway Station and only 5 minutes walk into the Bull Ring Shopping Centre and Birmingham Markets. Across the road from the venue is a regular Sunday Flea Market that attracts hundreds of customers into the local Cultural Quarter. Oxfam's Music Shop is also based in this area.
Parking in the area is superb with free off street parking all around the venue. Unloading is flat with no stairs into a well-lit large ballroom. Tables are, for most dealers a generous 6ft, and in some cases 8ft. Stall rent is a very reasonable £25. The slightly higher cost of our tables is due to the hire and advertising costs to run the Fair in this exeptionally well-known venue.
Dealers have been asking for a regular good Fair in the centre of the UK's second city for a long while and we believe we casn satisfy this demand. Our diaries show that there is no other Fair currently booked in the Midlands for the set date. Note that before this info has been published on the web we have already sold 50% of the stalls.
Sunday November 16th.
