RECORD SHOPS
Burton on Trent
Henry's Records, Station Road. Virtually opposite the railway station. Masses of vinyl and memorabilia.
Cannock
Cannock Indoor Market. Geoff Butler has a stall here. Good for a visit on a Tuesday, Friday or Saturday
Chester
Grey 'n' Pink, 37 Brook Street: massive cd selection downstairs and a huge vinyl stock upstairs. Run by Mike Moran who attends many of our Fairs.
Chesterfield
Hudsons. This is in the main shopping centre and opens on a Sunday. Great selection of vinyl, especially dance.
Kidderminster
Mr Tee's, Blackwell Street. THE untidiest shop in the country and Mr Tee is proud of it - spend hours sifting through mountains of vinyl.
Leek
Mainstreet Music. Run by Steve and Amanda, it's CDs downstairs and vinyl upstairs
Newport
Only 10 minutes drive from Telford is Jude's in the Indoor Market - a massive selection of vinyl.
Liverpool
Hairy Records, Bold Street. Regarded by many as THE shop in the North West to visit.
Rhyl
Funky Feet, Bedford Street. Very strong on soul + everything else is there.
Shrewsbury
Recycled Records, The Parade. Initially a dance shop but Mark, the owner, has been extending the vinyl genres into pop, prog, etc.
Stoke-on-Trent
Global Groove, Bucknall New Road. The North Midlands best dance 12" establishment.
Replay Records, Tunstall Market. Brian stocks both vinyl and CDs. Best time to visit is Friday or Saturday. |
